We are in the process of
identifying different types of investments for your Business Succession
Plans. Our last post reflected on VALUE
investing. In this sector, we focus are
stocks/funds that are selling below what their real price is. Our main objective is to diversify. On the opposite side of VALUE is the area
commonly referred to as GROWTH.
In this area are
stocks/funds that rarely pay dividends.
The prime growth is in the distribution of Capital Gains and in the increase
in the price of the stock/fund. Stated
another way, the companies in the GROWTH sector take a vast majority of their
profits and plow them back into the company.
Now we have two (2) areas
that you should consider in diversifying your investment portfolio. Please remember it’s not enough just to say
well I have some stocks or a stock mutual fund.
There could simply be an overlap and as a result you are not truly
diversifying.
VALUE ADDED TIP
