One of my
favorite things about fall, besides apple picking, is Albany Center Gallery’s
annual Gala. It is the only excuse I get all year to wear cocktail gloves
besides the occasional bridesmaid ensemble. This year’s event Une Soiree de
Monte Carlo takes place this Saturday, November 19th from 6-10pm at
Taste. As always, there will be fantastic art, no shortage of local
artists, food, drink, dancing, and this year’s party also features cigarette
girls, and a plethora of casino games including black jack and poker.
Another
charity event taking place on Saturday is the Room for Hope benefit at Bombers Burrito Bar on Lark Street. From 9pm to 1am, 100% of the proceeds from purchased
drink specials, cover charge, and raffle will be donated to help rebuild homes
in Schoharie County that were destroyed by recent floods. There will be trivia, acoustic music and
comedic performances.
Tonight don’t
miss the B3nson Family Funsgiving Music
Spectacular & Beard Expo at Valentine’s Music Hall. 8pm upstairs hosts Barons in the Attic, We
Are Jeneric (aka the Parlor), Matthew Carefully and more.
