Just around the corner from the heart of Lark Street is one of America’s oldest museums and one of the area’s most respected art institutions. The Albany Institute of History and Art, located at 125 Washington Ave, boast a historical, artistic, and cultural collection that represents the heritage of the Capital District and Upper Hudson Valley. Founded in 1791, during George Washington’s presidency, AIHA is now in its 221st year and is celebrating with $2.21 admission to all visitors of the museum on Wednesday, February 22nd. While there, check out some of the current exhibits including Kid Stuff: Great Toys from Our Childhood, First in the Hearts of His Countrymen: George Washington, and A Gather of Glass: Selections from the Museum’s Collection. Also happening at AIHA on Wednesday is a Corporate Breakfast Series Event “Technology and Museums Today” from 7:30 to 9:30am for local business professionals.
