After a pedestrian 2-2 Wildcard Weekend, I am looking forward to a superior Divisional Playoff round. There are two things, however, that I am sure I will see as the 2015 NFL post season continues. I am first expecting better quarterback play across the board. Secondly, I expect for the refereeing to be much improved.
For the remainder of the 2015 NFL season, each of the remaining quarterbacks will not only be asked to lead their team to victory, they will be relied upon. No quarterback will be asked to simply “manage” the game. No “just don’t lose the game” nonsense will be allowed. Each of the remaining quarterbacks are integral pieces in the success of their respective teams. Of course the Dallas Cowboys have DeMarco Murray, who ran all over the league, producing the most rushing yards in a single season in Cowboy history. And, of course the Seattle Seahawks again come equipped with a defense that resembles a street gang with their physical, big play nature. However, it is stellar play at the quarterback position that has each of the remaining eight teams feeling confident as they head into their divisional playoff match-up.
2015 Divisional Playoff Predictions
AFC
Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots
Expect physical play by both teams on both sides of the ball. Also, expect a ferocious dual on the outside between Darrelle Revis and Steve Smith Sr. Baltimore Ravens quarterback, Joe Flacco, is playing at a high level and has proven that he does not get rattled by the stimulus created by playing on the road. New England Patriot quarterback, Tom Brady, will be sure to put the Patriot offense in the best position for success on every play. Between the hash marks and in goal line situations is where Patriot tight end, Rob Gronkowski, does his damage. I see the Ravens defense effectively defending the middle of the football field forcing Brady to look to the flat and sidelines for his completions. Look for Flacco to be solid and Brady to become inpatient before forcing the football into coverage. I like the Ravens in a close one.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos
You absolutely have got to love the quarterback match-up in this one. Peyton versus predecessor. Young versus old. Bad beard versus clean cut. Colts versus Broncos.
Both quarterbacks will no doubt have their place in Indianapolis Colts lore. Both quarterbacks will one day reflect on these epic playoff battles over a mug of suds and be able to appreciate the contest from a fanatic’s perspective. But today is far from that day and this is far from that time. Colts quarterback, Andrew Luck, will need to quickly click with another wideout if all everything wide receiver, TY Hilton, is limited in any capacity. Expect Bronco linebackers DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller to harass Luck for the entire 60 minutes and will proving to give the Broncos the edge here.

Denver Broncos 37.

Carolina Panthers vs. Seattle Seahawks
This matchup is sure to feature two things: Solid defense and cheating. The Seattle Seahawk’s will employ their fans, the notorious 12th Man, when the opposition is only allowed 11 men on the field. An absolute nightmare place to play for visitors during the regular season turns into a real-life terror during playoff time.
The team from the Emerald City begins their attempt to repeat as Super Bowl champions by facing a Panther defense playing aggressive, intelligent football. Led by linebacker, Luke Kuechly and quarterback Cam Newton, the Panthers feature an abstract rushing attack sure to make its share of big plays. Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, is consistently making the right decision, while running back Marshawn Lynch, who is pissed for some reason, continues to take out his feelings of frustration on all defenders. Too much all-around Seahawk team efficiency for the Panthers to handle on the road.
Carolina Panthers 13
Seattle Seahawks 21.
Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers
I know many folks who actually consider the Green Bay Packers to be Americas Team. With the mystique of Lambeau Field and battles won on the frozen tundra providing a sense of history for NFL buffs, it is the Green Bay Packers who many relate to most. Unfortunately for Cowboy fans, Packer quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, has limited mobility and has been regulated to becoming a pocket passer due to a small tear and strain in his calf. The Cowboys have offensive explosion and firepower in wide receiver Dez Bryant and robo-back, Demarco Murray, however, Rodgers has had the entire practice week to mentally prepare himself to stand in the pocket and deliver the ball on time. Rodgers and Head Coach Mike McCarthy have no doubt collaborated to bring an offensive game plan structured to expose an average Cowboy defensive unit. Green Bay puts an end to the Cowboys dream season and an end to Cowboy fans dreams of a title.
