We all remember a guy named Nixon back in the early 70’s, who secretly recorded every conversation he had, for reasons known only to him. Amongst those recordings, were the conversations he had with his staffers on the ongoing Watergate investigation. Well, we all know how that turned out. It appears that our illustrious governor is taking steps to avoid such an occurrence. It appears that all the documents related to then Attorney General Cuomo’s investigations — including those related to Joe Bruno and then Governor Eliot Spitzer — will not be made available to the public, usually obtainable under the Freedom of Information Law. That, Mr. Cuomo, is just not right. While all the dirty work is done on another level, you were hands deep in all these matters. Three: NBC has spent a billion dollars for the rights to the coverage. They are not going to show everything live. If you are that hardcore of a fan, fire up the laptop; you will find anything you want if you just search. If you want to watch in prime-time, don’t watch the sports on your six o’clock news. Why can’t just everyone just enjoy the event.
