It all starts with a little white lie. A little untruth. Just ask the spirit of Richard Nixon. I couldn’t care less if you closed off all access to the northern New Jersey cities (the Jersey Shore is a little different.) But to stand there in front of all that hostile press and flatly deny that you had nothing to do with it is preposterous. Sure, you can say that your staffer’s set it all up, and you just found out about it; but you hired those staffer’s, and simply dismissing them won’t make it all go away. I told myself that I wasn’t going to use the word, but there is no way of getting around it. Bully. And this comes from the supposed GOP front runner for President in the 2016 elections. Marco Rubio must be doing cartwheels. While the Republican’s are struggling to come up with an opponent to challenge Hillary Clinton, this bozo has to go out and do something as petty as this. Grow up Chris.……….I have to give credit where credit is due. One day after taking the oath of office as the new mayor of Albany, the city gets hit with a foot of snow. While my neighborhood never seems to get the coverage it deserves, overall the DGS did an excellent job in removing all the snow. I just wish that Ms. Sheehan could get rid of all the dilapidated buildings in Albany in the same expeditious manner.……….They need to get rid of all the State of Whatever addresses. While every politician needs to spell out what he or she thinks is the state of the whatever, I would really like for someone to take an actual accounting of whatever is said in these addresses and what is actually accomplished. It appears that our illustrious Governor is once again appealing to whatever the people want to hear, rather than what it really feasible to accomplish. No mention of Hydrofracking, which I guess is too hot a topic which could have an adverse affect on Andrew’s either re-election, or possible run for the White House. How ridiculous was that proposal for the adoption of the usage of Medical Marijuana on a limited basis. Who is to decide what constitutes pain? And what 20 institutions are going to dispense it. Is someone from Watertown going to have to drive to Albany or Buffalo to receive treatment? What’s the next Bandwagon to jump on Andrew?……….A note to Senator Gillibrand: A little too ambitious with your new legislation to fund parents to stay at home and take care of sick loved ones. While that may sound a little harsh, there are a lot of more important things you should be devoting your time to. How about fighting for a higher minimum wage. Or how about getting the dysfunctional Houses of Congress back in order. Or maybe get really ambitious and let the President know that he rolled out the Affordable Care Act about a year too soon. Or how about stop sending so many Tweets about every whistle stop you make across the state or wherever. Pick and choose your fights wisely (example: you’re not going to change the way things are done in the Military.)
It All Starts With Being Just A Little Disingenuous
And that is “The Daily Take”
