Although no one can predict with certainty the “What Ifs” in our future, what we do have is the ability to discuss, make decisions and share our choices about the type of care we would or would not want to receive if we were unable to speak for ourselves. These are extremely personal and some of the most critical decisions that we may ever have to make during our lifetime, and this is not an easy task. The Advance Care Planning Process is one of the most valuable tools we have to help us in “Preparing for the What If’s.” The goal of this presentation is to provide essential information that will help us understand and most importantly engage in the Advance Care Planning Process.
