This event will bring runners and walkers from Albany and the Capital Region together for some fun, while raising funds for the children of our District In our last race, we had over 300 participants, and this year we plan to increase that with strong representation from parents, students, community members and runners from all over the Capital District.
The 5k is the Albany Booster Club’s largest fundraising event of the year; and thanks to the generous support of our community partners the funds raised at the 5K and throughout the year enabled the Booster Club to distribute $20,000 in scholarships, spirit wear, clothing, and food to students at Albany High School last year.
Albany Booster Club is a charitable not-for-profit organization established in 2000 by Albany City School District parents for the purpose of providing financial assistance and support to all extracurricular activities offered by the district.
