About this event

The MoonCatcher Project fights period poverty around the world.  In Africa and India, we produce washable, reusable menstrual pad kits that are given free of charge to help girls stay in school. In our community we collect menstrual supplies for local food pantries and shelters.  We also maintain free "Period Pantries" in our area.

Many people both here and around the world cannot afford menstrual products.  We envision a world where no person has to miss out on school, work or community because they have no way to manage menstruation.

Join us for our 8th Annual MoonWine and Cheese party located at Simone’s Kitchen, in downtown Schenectady! Meet our Founder and Director, Ellie von Wellsheim and learn about her passion to help keep girls in school. Enjoy light bites, a glass of wine and shop our African crafts selection!
