About this event
The event, in partnership with the Adirondack Cornhole League (ACL) and Discover Schenectady, will raise funds for the Schenectady Rotary’s Community Schools Initiative to help improve literacy and increase attendance at William C. Keane Elementary School on Albany Street in Schenectady. Last year the Schenectady Rotary raised funds to refurbish the school’s new community resource room.
The day-long family-friendly Cornhole for a Cause tournament will run from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is open to professionals and amateurs alike. Singles and Doubles play will be available in all divisions including Open (advanced), Competitive, Intermediate (social) and Novice.
Players will compete for trophies and cash prizes. There will be benefit drawings and auctions and entertainment with DJ Cassius.
The registration fee is $25 for ACL members and $35 for non-members. There is also a $5 door entry fee for players and spectators (children accompanied by an adult are free). Players can pre-register online at the Schenectady Rotary Club webpage.
On-site registration and check-in will start at 9 a.m. and bags will fly at 10 a.m.
