About this event

We are approaching the first anniversary of the announcement that The College of Saint Rose, a 102-year-old institution, would cease operations. Join Daniel Nester, former Saint Rose professor, as he reads from “Here’s Where The Story Ends,” a work-in-progress about his experiences at the end of a long teaching career. He also grieves the sudden loss of his mother.

What emerges from these experiences is a renewed idea of community, friendship, and how to tell your story. Plus there are funny bits as well. Promise.

Nester will be joined by former students, Brett Peterson and Sarah Michelle Sherman, who will also read from their work.

This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available for sale at the snack stand.

This event is funded by an Arts Thrive and Grow grant.

Arts Thrive and Grow has been funded by New York State, Kathy Hochul, Governor. We thank Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins for her extraordinary commitment and leadership, and our elected officials who represent our grantmaking region: Senators Jake Ashby and Neil D. Breslin; Assemblymembers Scott H. Bendett, Patricia Fahy, John T. McDonald III, Angelo Santabarbara, Phil Steck, and Mary Beth Walsh.
