About this event

Sheila Curran Bernard is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning film-maker, writer, and educator. Her film and television credits include the acclaimed theatrical documentary Slavery by Another Name and five prime time series for Blackside, including Eyes on the. She is the author of Documentary Storytelling (Focal Press, now in its fifth edition) and, with Kenn Rabin, Archival Storytelling (Focal Press, now in its second edition). Bernard is an associate professor at the University at Albany in the Department of History and director of the Graduate Program in Public History.
