MiSci -The Museum of Innovation and Science - is a learning center/planetarium/kids museum in Schenectady - although they get visitors of all ages! A Quick History of Science & Discovery

MiSci dates back to 1934, and has been in its current location since 1969. The museum expanded in 1997 through a merger with the General Electric Hall of Electrical History. 

Today, MiSci boasts a collection of over 15,000 science and technology artifacts, 1,500 films, and many more historical resources.

The 44,270-square-foot facility packs in interactive experiences and exhibits for kids and adults, and they welcome around 400 researchers annually.

MiSci's mission is to inspire people to celebrate and explore science and technology from today and yesterday, while looking ahead to the future.

It's a Stellar Experience at the Planetarium

MiSci has a 30-foot dome home to a high-definition digital projector and rare GOTO Chronos Star Machine, one of only a few in this country.

Visitors can experience the night sky from any location on Earth, with incredible projections of 8,500 stars and 24 constellations.

Planetarium shows are at 12pm, 1pm, and 3pm on weekends, and tickets are $5 in addition to the museum entrance fee, which is $15 for adults and $10 for kids.
