If you really want that job you just interviewed before, thank your interviewer(s) properly.
– If you are able to get the email address of those who interviewed you, send a brief note thanking them for your interview and expressing your continual interest
– For a more personal touch, handwrite a thank you note and drop it in the mail after the interview (so it gets there in a timely manner)
– Always leave multiple methods for people to reach you (email, phone, cellphone). You want people to be able to find you when it’s time for the job offer.
Nothing says “I want this job” more than a well-crafted, personalized note to the company you want to work for.
Here is an example of an effective thank you after an interview
Dear Tom,
It was a pleasure meeting with you and your team today to interview for
the Front Desk management position.
After our meeting, I feel even more confident that I’d truly enjoy working with Acme Hotels and the entire team.
I look forward to the possibility of working with you and Acme Hotels
in the near future.
Sincerely,
