Q: I am majoring in business, but I really want to go into the architectural side of things. Unfortunately, I can’t afford to go to a school right now that offers that type of degree. What should I do?
A: Many people are in a similar situation, believe it or not. Just because you don’t major in architecture doesn’t mean you won’t land in it when you are done with school. I suggest incorporating architecture related themes into the papers you work on for your classes, and do some outside research on your field of interest. As well, express your interest to architectural firms now while you are just beginning school; they may have internship or project opportunities you can pursue while earning your business degree.
