Do you know what to look for in your dream employee? Do you know what qualities to notice? Well with new day technology, you do not have to play mind games in order to seek these traits. If within company budget, you may want to invest in candidate assessments. These assessments ask a variety of questions which can include personality, leadership, and situation based events. Once completed there is a score or recommendation provided by the data system so a decision can be made about hiring the possible candidate. I have taken a few of these assessments and they may seem repetitive but it is only to break your cycle of answers. Some people tend to answer in patterns and this helps curve the real you. I feel these assessments are necessary when looking for certain qualities in a person. For example, if a person is applying for customer service, situation questions should be asked.
The questions below can help you prepare for your next assessment or even interview:
*If a customer is angry, how do you handle his/her concern?
*Describe a time when a person needed your help, what did you do?
*Describe steps you have taken to be a better person.
