As reported on USA today, human resources specialists rank in the top 10 fastest growing job in America. Over the next 10 years, this field is expected to grow over 16% while unemployment rates for those currently in the field are at a mere 3%. The umbrella term, ‘specialists’, include human resources manager, compensation and benefits manager, training and development manager, human resources information systems analyst, and recruiter, to name a few, and there is an increase need for candidates at all levels of management. Smaller companies may only have one human resources director, but a larger corporation may have a specialized position for each aspect of the field. You need specific qualifications and experiences for each position, but ultimately, these specialists all work towards creating a pleasant and desirable workplace environment for the employees. If interested in the HR field, one should look towards completing certifications and degrees to give yourself a competitive edge.
