In a recent survey conducted by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), HR professionals were asked what could be some of the challenges they could encounter within the next ten years, and here are the top 3 answers:
1. Retaining and rewarding the best employees
Companies and businesses will be facing a growing shortage of talented candidates that walk through their doors, so it is essential that companies retain as many current employees as they can. In the survey, 59% of respondents ranked this action in the top three.
2. Developing the next generation of corporate leaders
We are all aging at a rapid rate and in large companies and organizations, it has become increasingly important to have a formal plan for succession in place and to begin to shift the focus to developing future leaders.
3. Creating a corporate culture that attracts the best employees to the organization
Now, organizations have to compete with one another for the best talent. If your company or organization wants to attract highly talented individuals to work for them, they need to develop a culture that is strong in order to draw in all the most qualified candidates.
