A solid objective or noting side work or freelance work that you have done can be the secret ingredient for explaining away gaps in employment.<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Gaps are not a bad thing; however, if there are too many, or if there is a long period of time where you haven&#8217;t work, there needs to be some clarity by writing a good objective such as &#8220;After returning to school for a year, looking for a new opportunity&#8230;&#8221;
