Winter in New York has changed us…maybe for the better though. Going outside when it’s freezing takes effort. Our Southern roots have been frozen solid this winter! We’ve learned the hard way that you can’t just run out the door anymore…gone are the days of light, fun jackets and optional scarfs that are more accessory than functional.
For Christmas, my parents sent us a remote thermometer. One section hangs outside our door and relays the outdoor temperature to an inside controller. The cool part of it is that the inside piece is a magnet that sticks to our front door. It’s a good gage of just how many layers we’re going to need before heading outside….
Winter has turned our apartment into a mess of gloves, scarfs and coats before I cooked up a good idea…check out these super awesome organizational skills!
Now, finding (and storing) all of our necessary winter accessories is super easy! Plus, we’ve got a great spot for the extras like sunglasses and an emergency ice scraper…because those are really the important things!
We love being able to find everything we need in a one-stop-shop, but we think our eBay mannequin secretly wears it all when we’re not watching her.
