Y’all remember Brown Bear<\/a> from Mrs. Gunter’s class<\/a> in Arkansas?? We’ll he’s still hanging out with us in New York. He insisted we bring him along on our last trip to the city…who knew he was up for so much adventure?
\nBrown Bear has been reading up on the tourist books and knew just what we needed to see and where to go on this trip to NYC. With his fur coat, he wasn’t cold at all in the 20 degree temperatures…Brett & I were freezing though!
\nOn this trip, Brown Bear<\/a> recommended getting a hotel room in Brooklyn. It was a little farther out from Manhattan, but Brown Bear really gets a kick out of using public transportation so we just took the subway everywhere we needed to go.
\nBrown Bear insisted<\/i> that we check out the Brooklyn Bridge! It was huge!! Brown Bear served as our tour guide and made us walk the 1,595.5 feet from Brooklyn to Manhattan. It’s really neat because you get to see the NYC skyline and walk over water and several lanes of traffic too! The National Historic Landmark is a pretty cool sight, but we were all freezing our paws off by the time we made it across.<\/p>\n

\n\"DSCN0093.JPG\" Brown Bear wanted a closer look at the taxi cabs flying by underneath us, so he tried to crawl over the rail to see. Luckily, Brett caught him just in time! Silly Brown Bear, he should know to always hold hands when you’re close to traffic!
\nI bet you didn’t know that Brown Bear is a theater buff? He loves<\/u> Broadway musicals and is always singing show tunes around the house, plus he never misses an episode of Glee.<\/i> He said if we were coming to the city, we had to catch a show…so he scored us a couple of tickets to see Chicago<\/i>. Thanks Brown Bear, you’re awesome!<\/p>\n

\n\"DSCN0145.JPG\" Brown Bear<\/a> snapped this picture of me in front of the theater! He’s a great photographer and said he learned everything about taking pictures from Mrs. Gunter’s daughter, Laura!
\nBrown Bear<\/a> was the total hook up on tickets y’all, he knows how to negotiate! He really, really, really wanted to see a NHL hockey game and when he found out the New York Rangers were playing at Madison Square Garden, he was on craigslist in no time. He scored a really good deal for us!<\/p>\n

\"DSCN0322.JPG\" This was Brown Bear’s first hockey game and he had a great time cheering for the Rangers! He yelled so loud<\/u> that our section of seats ended up picked as “Fans of the Game”! The camera guys put us and Brown Bear on the jumbo screen at Madison Square Garden and everyone saw him!! Can you believe Brown Bear is so famous??<\/p>\n
