Programmer Analyst, Computer Information Systems

Salary: $60,000 Plus excellent benfits
We are seeking a motivated programmer to assist with system administration, integration, automation, and custom development, as part of the Computer Information Systems team, a unit within Information Technology Services (ITS). Work will be primarily focused on our Student Information System (SIS) which is used as a centralized repository for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of the data needed for daily operations and to meet the long-term mission of the campus. Responsibilities are expected to include, but are not limited to: developing and maintaining programs and reports to automate routine processes and integrate disparate systems across the campus; determining the appropriate technology to implement solutions; working with stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions; working with other ITS team members to meet the needs across campus; participating in troubleshooting and providing support and documentation for existing systems, ensuring minimal disruptions to campus operations; effectively and efficiently manage and protect institutional data; and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing ideas for enhanced service delivery and efficiency.
The Computer Information Systems team plays a key role in ensuring the seamless operation and data flow for various enterprise systems that support SUNY Plattsburgh’s mission. As a whole, ITS provides comprehensive technology support for campus needs inside and outside the classroom. This includes administrative computing, web development, integration, system support, and network infrastructure management. We also support SUNY Plattsburgh’s technology needs by providing services, tools, and facilities that keep the campus community working efficiently and create a stable, secure, and user-friendly environment.
