2) Reviews are in, and critics are overjoyed. With over 100 reviews counted, DoS is sitting at about 70% fresh on Rottentomatoes, with an average score of about 7 out of 10. This just about matches its 65% on metacritic. What remains to be seen: Is this a genuinely rousing adventure, or is everyone just shell-shocked because the first Hobbit was such an unexpected bore? (oh, yes I did.)
