U Albany Awards World's First Degree In Nanoeconomics
CNSE at U Albany continues to pioneer in the nanotech field, awarding the world's first nanoeconomics degree in May 2008.
ALBANY NY - The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) at the University at Albany awarded the world's first degree in 'Nanoeconomics' in May 2008.
CNSE defines nanoeconomics as the "formulation, study and analysis of the economic and business principles underlying the development and deployment of nanoscale know-how, products and systems."
Degree recipient Erez Golan lives in Guilderland and is excited about being the first Nanoscale graduate in the world. 39-year-old Golan received his Ph. D. from U Albany in Nanoscale Science and Engineering with a concentration in Nanoeconomics. More grads in this concentration are expected to follow in the coming years.
