The Albany Times Union
The Albany Times Union is Albany's hometown newspaper and the Capital Region's daily source for up-to-date local and national news, events and happenings.
The Times Union is a part of the Capital Newspapers Division of the Hearst Corporation. They are based in Albany NY with branch offices in Troy, Alplaus and Saratoga Springs.
The Times Union newspaper covers Albany news from the latest breaking stories to business, entertainment, sports, politics and more. The paper strives for a nonbiased, objective approach to each story and offers its readers both print and online versions of daily news articles.
Affectionately called the "TU" by locals, the Albany Times Union is a strong supporter of the Albany community. They can be found sponsoring many events and causes throughout the greater Capital Region.

From 2007 - 2021, the former Pepsi Arena in downtown Albany was renamed the Times Union Center after the Times Union purchased the naming rights. In 2022, the indoor arena was officially renamed the MVP Arena after MVP Health Care acquired the naming rights in late 2021.
