Troy Farmers Market Finds New Summer Location
TROY NY - This summer, the Troy Farmers Market will be at its traditional summer market location along the waterfront for only May and June. For the second half of the summer, you can find it at a different location in Troy. This location is still to be determined.
Plans for construction of a new hotel and conference center in the riverfront parking lot is pushing the Troy Farmers Market to find a new summer home this year. Though a permanent location has not yet been set, the market may likely return to its winter location in the Uncle Sam Atrium on Third Street in Troy. There were also talks about moving the market to Front Street along the Hudson River as another alternative.
The market hopes to maintain the outdoor appeal of its summer market as it prepares for a new home. Even if it returns to its winter market location, the Troy Farmers Market plans to operate on the sidewalks outside the Atrium.
So, head to the streets of Troy for fresh summer produce this season. The summer market may be in a different location after June, but it will still offer the best in organic fruits and veggies, fresh breads, cheeses, fabrics and so much more. Visit the Troy Farmers Market this summer, and see for yourself!
