The ValleyCats Win Playoff Game

September 2010

Troy, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats won the first of a three-game playoff series on September 7, 2010 at "the Joe" in Troy, New York. September 8, 2010 they head to Batavia to take on the Muckdogs for game two. They could head to the Championship Series with just one more win!

The Tri-City ValleyCats finished the regular season in first place of the Stedler Division. This allowed them to have the home advantage for the first game of the NYPL playoff series. The game was exciting and fans in attendance weren't disappointed.

Game one went into extra innings and by the 11th inning the game was still tied 9-9. Daniel Adamson changed that! He hit a walk-off home run into left field that took the ValleyCats to the win.

Game two will take place at the Batavia Stadium with a starting time of 7:05pm. The Muckdogs will try their luck with the home field advantage.

It is a best-of-three playoff series, if the ValleyCats and Jamestown both win tonight, than Game 1 of the Championship Series will be in Jamestown on Friday September 10th. Games 2 and 3 would be at "the Joe" on Saturday and Sunday, the 11th & 12th.
