Set Your PR at the Helderberg to Hudson Half Marathon
Debuting in 2019 with over 2,500 participants, the Helderberg to Hudson Half Marathon has undergone improvements, including updates to the final 2 miles of the course for enhanced speed and efficiency.
The race features a USATF certified course (NY22022JG) that starts at Stephen P. Wallace (New Scotland Town) Park and ends at Jennings Landing in Albany on the Hudson River.
Run through Voorheesville streets for ~2 miles, then enjoy 9 miles on the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail, before concluding with a final ~2 miles on the rail trail connector to the Hudson River bike path.
Starting at 423 feet of elevation and maxing at 513 feet .42-mile in, it then drops 500 feet down to an elevation of 13 feet at the end.

Toilets:
Portable toilets are located at each water stop.
Water Stops:
There are 6 water stops. It is recommended and encouraged that you run with your own water carrying device. (ie. Bottle, pack, etc.)
If you use a cup provided on the course, please dispose of it in a nearby garbage can after the water stop. Alternatively, carry it with you until you reach the next water stop or garbage can.
Race Amenities:
Participants will enjoy a range of amenities, including:

Parking/Starting Line Transportation:
Parking is not available at the start line or within 1 mile of it.
Participants are encouraged to park at the ParkAlbany Riverfront Garage by the finish line and utilize the free bus service to the start. Buses run continuously from 6 AM until 7:15 AM.
Note the following:
- No bus service after 7:15 AM
- No bus service after the race
Dropping off near the start line is discouraged but allowed, with details TBD based on demand. Pets and strollers are not permitted on the race course.

SECC's mission is to impact food security, address food equality and food justice, enhance academic success, and positively influence the physical and mental health of children by offering free, healthy meals along with various support services.
